Problem Note 42175: Abnormal termination of full-rank coded GEE model with missing values

DetailsAboutRate It

If you specify the REPEATED statement to request a Generalized Estimating Equations (GEE) model and if there are missing values in any CLASS variables that use full-rank parameterization (such as PARAM=REF or PARAM=EFFECT), or in the response, FREQ, or WEIGHT variables, then PROC GENMOD may terminate abnormally (read or write access violation, segmentation violation, etc.).

To fit the GEE model and avoid the problem, either use the PARAM=GLM option in the CLASS statement or remove any observations from the data set that have missing values in the response, FREQ, or WEIGHT variables or in any of the CLASS variables.
